ABOUT

Katz Amsterdam Foundation and Pathstone are proud to present a thought-provoking summit designed for private market investors, fund managers, and impact company founders, CEOs and thought leaders. This second annual gathering brings together a curated group of individuals to continue conversations around the current state of private market impact investing and explore the role of venture capital in driving impact— focusing on topic areas like advancing mental health innovation, scaling climate technologies, empowering underrepresented communities, and closing the women’s health gap.

At the Impact Venture Capital Summit, we will dive deep into the world of impact investing, discussing how investors can pursue a dual mandate focused on maximizing impact and maximizing return. With the growing momentum in impact investing over the years, investors are increasingly optimistic about the capacity of the impact investing market to enact positive change at meaningful scale, utilizing investing as a critical strategy to reverse the tide of climate change and social inequity. At this event, you'll learn about the latest trends and developments, hear about industry-transforming startups, and gain insights from experienced private market fund managers, investors and entrepreneurs who are driving change through their investments. Attendees will network with each other, building valuable connections and collaborating with peers who share a similar commitment to making a positive impact through investment.

Whether you're an experienced impact investor or just starting to explore the world of impact investing, join us to gain new insights, deepen your understanding of impact investing, and connect with a community of like-minded individuals who are working to drive positive change.

ABOUT KATZ AMSTERDAM FOUNDATION
Katz Amsterdam Foundation was co-founded in 2018 by Rob Katz—Chief Executive Officer of Vail Resorts from 2006-2021, current Executive Chairperson of the Vail Resorts Board—and his wife, Elana Amsterdam, to support the communities and issues they care about deeply, with an emphasis on the needs of BIPOC communities. Katz Amsterdam Foundation works to address inequities in three key issue areas utilizing a racial equity lens:  mental and behavioral health, civic engagement and reproductive health.

The Foundation also works to pair grantmaking with impact investing, working at the intersection of philanthropy and venture to help accelerate the pace of progress towards a more sustainable, equitable future. They partner with financially driven, social impact funds and entrepreneurs that are committed to social change and improving human or climate well-being at scale. Areas of focus include Reproductive and Maternal Health to better outcomes for women of color and others directly affected by systemic inequities; Mental and Behavioral Health to reduce the stigma and improve outcomes associated with mental health and addiction treatment; Sustainable Climate investing in technologies and solutions that address global energy and resource challenges; and Opportunity and Inclusion, providing capital to emerging or diverse investment managers, underserved start-up teams, and entrepreneurs from under-represented backgrounds—working towards creating a more inclusive venture capital and technology ecosystem.
